The Jesus who paid it all for you
When you choose Christ as our personal savior, we have to believe he is the only begotten Son of God. He came to earth the same way you and I, through the birth canal, but was conceived of the Holy Spirit in a Virgin. Mary was believed to be somewhere between 14-17 yrs old. He was God in the flesh but had to live amongst us without sin. He was tempted but untainted. This way he became the flawless sacrifice for all our sins, sent by love and to become love here on earth. God is love! We are made in his image but had fallen away from the union with God in the garden of Eden when Adam ate from the tree of good and evil. He reconciled that union when he came as a man, remained blameless and laid down his life for you and I because he loves us! This means he loves YOU so much, he sent his only son to lay down his life to redeem, restore and renew us! let's count the cost of his death on the cross.
The brutality was intense, degrading, and excruciating, beyond what we could handle watching today! He was spit on, chastised, scorned, and whipped to the point his skin was stripped from his body. His muscles were exposed with ribbons of flesh streaming in the hot sun. This was accomplished by using a cat o nine. This is a whip that utilizes 9 straps embedded with nails, bone, and glass. His beard was torn from his face. Beaten with clubs and punched repeatedly, they left him unrecognizable. Your divine healing was paid for at the whipping post. A crown of thorns was twisted on his head, resulting in blood running into his eyes. Then he was forced to carry a roughly hewn cross, which left splinters in his gaping wounds all the way to Golgatha, He collapsed under the weight and torment, before he made it to the final site of torture; another believer carried it the rest of the way.

His legs were placed so he couldn't stand straight up, they were bent. He had to use muscles to stand and take some weight off the hands. Please don't let one drop of his precious blood go to waste! Go put his word in action and become Love! Choose to Love God with all your heart, mind and soul. Then love your brother the same way. That means seek to understand not be understood. Speak the truth. don't give into the "you don't know what they did to me?" Thank the Lord he never did that! Peace unto you!
